Detective In New York

After the young greenhorn, now known as Old Shatterhand, is leaving the Apache pueblo on the Rio Pecos he visits Mr Henry in St. Louis, from where he steams down the Mississippi to embark on a ship that will take him home to Germany. However, a storm in the Gulf of Mexico wrecks the ship against the Tortugas; only Old Shatterhand and three other passengers survive the disaster. The commander of the Garrison organises passage to New York for young Charles, where he is able to find employment with Josh Taylor, and his famous detective agency. But the mishaps don’t stop there. A pretty young pickpocket relieves the would-be sleuth of all his money, the pocket watch, and his notebook. And so, Old Shatterhand, detective in New York, is getting even deeper into trouble when he takes on the criminal underworld of the city.
